Am incercat sa instalez atat de mult trambitatul driver de la NVidia (vezi revista MyLinux de luna asta!!!). Se pare ca baietii de la NVidia mai au de lucru la pahetul .run pentru a putea instala fara probleme acest driver.Dupa instalare nu mai reusesc sa rulez X-ul. Mesaje de eroare nu am primit in timpul instalarii, dar nu mai pot rula X-ul nici daca dezinstalez driverul nou. Adica primesc acelasi mesaj de eroare:

Cum procedez fara a mai reinstala SO-ul?
Sau cum interpretez eroarea din mesaj?
Nu am mai intalnit de mult probleme cu driverul NVIDIA. De fapt ceea ce prezinti tu aici nici nu este o problema, nu tine de driver. Nu stiu ce au scris baietii de la MyLINUX in revista dar eu iti recomand tutorialul nostru , este un veteran si a instalat cu succes driverul pe sute de sisteme. :-D In cazul tau eroarea este generata de faptul ca sistemul tau nu gaseste o combinatie rezolutie-refresh functionala, de aici rezulta acel

Daca ma intorc destul de multa vreme in timp la versiunea 10.0 si incerc sa imi amintesc problemele de pe vremea aceea, ti-as recomanda sa incerci sa mergi ca root in /var/log si sa stergi toate logurile de genul Xfree86.x.log. Incerca si spune-mi daca ti-a plecat X-ul dupa cand dai startx sau init 5. :-D
Pe vremuri in tutorialul nostru era o sectiune de probleme posibile cu tot cu rezolvarea lor, dar odata cu perfectionarea driverelor si distributiei au devenit inutile si le-am scos... Succes !

banuiesc ca nu a incarcat modulul nvidia.
incerca adaugarea liniei nvidia in fisierele /etc/modprobe.preload si /etc/modules
